Communication is the sharing of knowledge by a number of means. Modern communication media allow for the intense long-distance exchanges between larger numbers of individuals. Now-a-days, people communicate through e-mail, internet, and mobile phones. The other means of one-to-much communication include television, cinema, radio, newspaper, and magazines.
Digital Multimedia Broadcasting, DMB, is a method of contributing the multimedia images, radio, internet, and television to the portable devices through the digital radio transmissions. DMB can be easily transmitted via both satellite DMB-S and terrestrial DMB-T methods. This transmission is received by a hand-set that could be installed in the cell phones, navigation systems, laptops, or digital cameras.
DMB is capable of operating on III (VHF) and L (UHF) radio frequency bands. The terrestrial DMB transmission make the use of some of the most advanced video and audio coding available for providing the best quality images. Digital multimedia broadcasting, DMB, is a method of multicasting multimedia content to mobile and portable devices, such as cell phones, by satellite or terrestrial services, or by the combination of both.
Many DMB-capable receiving devices deliver content personalized to the location or subscriber. The most popular application of DMB is mobile television. You can also transmit the movies, video clips, music, text messages, and RSS feeds. The most common and wanted DMB services operate on a fee-based subscription basis.
Digital Multimedia Broadcasting’s challenger is the handheld-digital video broadcasting DVB-H. DMB is mainly developed to be compatible with the DAB i.e. Digital Audio Broadcasting, and it uses the DAB as a transported medium for streaming the images. Most of the technological components that are vital for the Digital Multimedia Broadcasting and Digital Video Broadcasting transmissions are similar.
